Art for Change Trust

Founders

Preeya and Murali Nair are the founders of the Art for Change Trust. With the support of Prince’s Youth Business Trust they launched Flying Elephant Films, a company registered in England that produces a diverse range of quality documentary and fictional programs, giving voice to a wide spectrum of experiences and characters from across the globe. Their first feature which premiered at Cannes won Camera d’ Or in 1999, this was followed by three other features which all premiered at Cannes and won a string of international prizes including Silver Lotus from the President of India. One of their programmes, based in the Old City of Hyderabad was nominated for the coveted children's BAFTA. Murali has also taught masters courses in film making at Columbia University, and is also an active mentor at the Asian Film Accademy in Pusan, South Korea. Similarly, Preeya has organised and led various international workshops in documentary film making, including at the International School of Film and Media in Hyderabad, India.
